St. Mary's Music
Music is an essential component of our worship, as it is with most Episcopal churches. At the completion of the new church in 2002, the organ was relocated from the old sanctuary. The Rodgers Model 950 is a digital instrument that simulates the sound of a mid-sized pipe organ while providing the flexibility and versatility of an electronic instrument.
An all-volunteer choir, averaging a dozen voices each Sunday, practices weekly to share a variety of sacred music, from traditional Anglican anthems to more contemporary selections. The choir, along with most of the congregation, responds positively to this blending of new and old traditions.
